TOXICITY OF FLUORIDE

 TOXICITY OF FLUORIDE

Finally - Even Dental Association Agrees Fluoride is Bad

The American Dental Association, which has for many years been one of fluoride's biggest advocates, alerted its members late last year that parents of infants younger than a year old "should consider using water that has no or low levels of fluoride" when mixing baby formula.

However, while public health agencies in some states, such as Vermont and New Hampshire, immediately issued warnings in the media based on the ADA alert, other states took months to relay the message.

Florida's Department of Health put the message on its website four months after it was issued along with a note that read: "Mixing formula with fluoridated water poses no known health risks."

The ADA was concerned about fluorosis, a condition caused by too much fluoride that damages the enamel of teeth. Some scientists believe that even mild to moderate cases of fluorosis can lead to more significant problems. Studies have associated fluorosis with lower IQ, endocrine system problems, and skeletal damage.

Increasing focus on the toxicity of fluorides and fluorine compounds and related health effects is largely the result of fluoride's ongoing “invisibility”. THE HOME OF BIOLOGICAL DENTISTRY wants to convey the scientific information that is known about fluoride/fluorine compound toxicity to those who ought to know but do not.

Fluoride poisoning, both chronic and acute, is a neglected area of Research!

Chronic fluoride exposure leads to lower IQ, osteoporosis, weakening of "heads" of long bones and significantly increases the risk of needing hip replacements.

FLOURIDE'S ABILITY TO DAMAGE THE BRAIN is of great concern for us!

Symptoms of Acute Fluoride Poisoning

Do you think you may be fluoride poisoned?

As with other toxins, fluoride affects different individuals differently. Symptoms can vary widely and depend on many factors, such as one’s genetic predispositions, body burden (overall body accumulation from all sources), mode of exposure, and length of exposure time (whether acute, as in the workplace, or chronic, as with ingestion of fluoridated water and food).

Also involved are synergistic effects that occur, for instance, when fluoride enhances other drugs people may be taking, or by combining with substances in the water and forming even more potent toxins (such as with Aluminum Fluoride, a dangerous neurotoxin).

Fluoride poisoning can be manifested in seemingly harmless symptoms, such as white spots in teeth (dental fluorosis), or chronic problems, such as arthritic joints, or more serious problems, including respiratory disease or cancer, or a complex of problems, whether acute or chronic.

Fluoride sensitivity (i.e. not being able to tolerate any amount of fluoride in food, water, or even taking showers) may occur if one is fluoride poisoned, or it may occur if one is chemically sensitive due to toxic exposure to other chemicals or because of allergy or some other body imbalance.

We believe that many, many people are either fluoride poisoned or fluoride sensitive and simply do not know that they are. They know that they feel sick and may be treated for symptoms with any number of drugs, but neither they nor their doctors have any idea that fluoride is the culprit.

If you suspect you may be, indeed, fluoride poisoned, we offer you below a protocol for immediate response to your symptoms.

Response Protocol for

Chronic Fluoride Poisoning/Fluoride Allergic Reaction

1. If you or your loved one are experiencing any life-threatening or other emergency symptoms, including fainting, convulsions, difficulty breathing, swelling, heart irregularities, or any other very frightening symptom, and/or if you know that there has been some immediate, heavy fluoride exposure, such as a child drinking a fluoride rinse or a lot of toothpaste:

IMMEDIATELY CALL YOUR NEAREST POISON CONTROL CENTER AND/OR BRING TO THE NEAREST EMERGENCY ROOM! DO NOT HESITATE!

2. If you suspect, but are not sure, or if you are sure that your symptoms are caused by chronic fluoride poisoning and/or allergic reaction to fluoride in any substance, and if the symptoms are not as severe and acute as described above, ask your physician to immediately test your blood and urine for fluoride content. If that physician is not willing to do so, try the following possibilities: call other physicians in your area and ask on the phone if they would be willing to test these fluids; go to your emergency room and tell them you have had high fluoride exposure and want these tests done; or contact us and we may be able to refer you to a nearby medical doctor. If you find a willing physician, make sure that they and/or the laboratory they use have experience with the fluoride testing process.
